Message	used a chisel and hammer to tap around the flange and to distribute pressure, obviously rotating around the circle in a crossing pattern. i was left with about a millimeter gap. i used sealant that i used for the oil pan and valve covers. maybe there is a tool out there that would encircle the flange and allow the tube to be pressed or tapped into place more evenly.
